Material Scientist

This position as a material scientist is a non-paid, voluntary work. We look for individuals that are highly motivated and want to help in the fight to mitigate the effects of climate change. Applicants for this position in the Storage Team should have the following skills:
Knowledge of working and construction materials
Unterstanding for material behaviour under very low temperature conditions
Interest to test and evaluate and soil and other material samples for resistance to ductile flow under pressure, tensile strength and related material parameters and initiative to plan and set up suitable experiments and test stands as well as refer to standard testing methods when available
Independent, cooperative and conscientious way of working and open communication
