What We’re Looking For: We seek enthusiastic and proactive students who are passionate about energy technologies and climate solutions. Key qualities include:
Strong self-motivation and initiative
Teamwork skills, reliability, and a genuine interest in both practical and theoretical research
Willingness to acknowledge and fill gaps in knowledge
Understanding of fundamental heat transfer and thermodynamics concepts
Enthusiasm for working on direct air capture technology
Preferred Skills and Experiences: While not required, the following skills are considered a plus:
CAD proficiency in commonly used software
Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus)
Familiarity with gas/solid separation processes
Ability to read, understand, and create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
Experience in similar work environments or processes
Hands-on crafting experience (e.g., industry internships)
Your Responsibilities: As part of our process team, you will play an active role in:
Assisting with the development and realization of our pilot plant
Designing and constructing components that will be assembled in the MakerSpace
Conducting research to optimize processes and components
Assembling components in the MakerSpace in Garching
Evaluating the performance of the pilot plant once operational
